We Are Waypoints

Waypoints Inc. (1978) is a non-profit charitable organization whose mandate is to assist vulnerable children, youth, and families through a variety of residential and outreach support services. Many of our clients face various barriers that challenge their personal growth, our staff are there to help them learn, cope, and succeed.

Waypoints has grown into a multiservice agency over the years, with over 100 employees working in multiple locations throughout the greater St. John’s area. Our scope of work includes several innovative programs in residential care, employment and outreach, and family support. Waypoints has been awarded the CARF International Standard (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) on multiple occasions for excellence in these programs as well as excellence in the administration of a community agency.

Waypoints Employment and Outreach Services Division provides a variety of outreach and employment support for youth ages 15-30 with complex needs such as addictions, homelessness, poverty, mental health issues, learning disabilities, lack of developed life skills, and involvement in the criminal justice system. We help these individuals overcome challenges and provide them with the tools they need to prepare for the workforce, find meaningful employment, and/or return to school.

We continuously strive to provide a supportive environment for children, youth, and families, enabling them to reach their full potential. Prioritizing respect, empathy, safety, and well-being, we empower youth to achieve personal growth and help them acquire the necessary skills to become productive responsible members of society. Our programs have impacted the lives of many young people and their families over the years and we are very proud of our accomplishments to date.
